Motability Scheme
The Motability Scheme has been making it easier for drivers with a disability to achieve greater mobility and independence since the 1970s. The scheme works by enabling recipients of the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement to put some or all of this state aid (plus an advance payment, in the case of more expensive vehicles) towards the repayments on a three-year contract hire agreement.
